About Liam Bigbee

Growing up in Seattle, Washington, Liam maintained strong ties to the Kansas City area through his family. Each summer, he returned to Kansas City to spend time with relatives and visit Eskridge in the Flint Hills, where his grandfather was raised. Liam comes from a long line of Kansas City attorneys, including his uncle, Steve Gorny, his grandfather, Bill Waugh, and his great-uncle, Bruce Waugh. Their mentorship and example played a meaningful role in shaping his path to the legal profession.

Liam attended Texas Christian University, where he earned his degree in Business Administration with a focus in Business Management and a minor in Spanish, graduating magna cum laude. He then attended the University of Kansas School of Law, becoming the fourth generation in his family to do so and graduating in the top 20% of his class. While in law school, Liam was actively involved in the Traffic Court Program, where he represented individuals in hearings before a three-judge panel. He also competed in the Transactional Law Competition, representing KU Law at the UCLA Transactional Law Competition during both his second and third years. In his third year, Liam and his team were awarded Best Overall Team in recognition of their negotiation skills and understanding of transactional law. Liam also served as a Dean’s Fellow, mentoring incoming law students and helping them transition into law school.

During law school, Liam gained practical legal experience working with Kansas Legal Services, a boutique personal injury firm, and a regional civil litigation firm. These experiences provided him with a strong foundation across multiple areas of practice and reinforced his commitment to client advocacy.

Liam joined Kreamer Arney Wait & Bottaro, L.C. in April 2025. His practice spans a wide range of areas, including family law, construction, collections, personal injury, general civil litigation, traffic matters, landlord-tenant disputes, and transactional work. Liam takes a client-focused approach to his practice, prioritizing communication and working closely with clients to understand their goals and achieve practical, effective solutions.

Outside of the office, Liam is actively involved with Blood Cancer United, where he currently serves as a “Visionary” as part of the organization’s Visionaries of the Year campaign. He also enjoys playing golf and tennis and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks.
